Our Story

Rooted in Joplin.
Driven by passion.

Scales Tails Aquatics Emporium & Pet Store was founded on a simple conviction: every animal deserves an environment that matches its nature, and every owner deserves guidance they can trust.

Located on North Range Line Road in the heart of Joplin, we've grown from a small passion project into one of the region's most respected aquatic and exotic pet destinations. Our shelves are stocked with carefully sourced supplies, our tanks are home to some of the most striking species you'll find anywhere, and our team lives and breathes this craft.
